How does it work?

There is 1 internet lesson using video, 1 telephone session of 25 minutes and 1 email assignment per week. Each acivity is scored and reviewed by your personal tutor.

Logging in

When you log in with your email address and password, you will be taken to our Classroom page. On this page you can messages from your tutor that only you can read.

"My Lessons" The link on the left hand menu will take you to the lessons in your course.

Tutor telephone sessions

After you have completed the weekly internet lesson you will be able to contact your tutor and schedule a time and day for your tutor to call you. Your tutor will discuss your lesson and any assignment scores with you. Your tutor will correct any pronunciation and gramatical errors as well as help you with vocabulary. After the session your tutor will give you a score and suggestions to help you improve. He/She may also set you a written assignment. You can see the scores and notes/suggestions in the progress page.

After your telephone session your tutor will open the next internet lesson.

How to use my lessons

To begin a lesson click on its number and follow the instructions.

When you have completed the lesson click "Finished". You will then be able to select several possible times to have your telephone session. Your tutor will be sent an email. He/She will review your file and contact you to schedule your telephone session. Alternatively you can contact your tutor directly.

Answers and feedback

After completing an lesson you can check your score and repeat the activity if you wish.

Each lesson is scored individually. You are given a percentage score based on how many correct answers you give.

Assignments

Your tutor may give you written assignments. Simply type your writing into the form and then press "Submit". This will be sent to your personal tutor. HINT It is a very good idea to type your homework in a word document first so you have a copy in case anything is lost.

To see your grade and tutor feedback, click 'Assignments' in the left hand menu.

Progress

This shows you how many lessons you have done, and your grades for each lesson. You will also see your grades for the telephone sessions and assignments with comments from your tutor.
